Competition Law and Merger Control

I provide comprehensive legal support to clients in Hungarian, EU, and multi-jurisdictional competition law matters. My services include, in particular:

  • competition law assessment of concentrations (mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures),

  • preparation and submission of Hungarian and EU merger control filings,

  • coordination of multi-jurisdictional merger control proceedings,

  • competition law compliance advice and risk assessment,

  • representation and advice in cartel and abuse of dominance cases.

Thanks to my experience working within competition authorities, I have in-depth insight into the decision-making practice of both the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH) and the European Commission, enabling a well-founded and strategic approach to competition law matters.

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Regulatory Matters

I regularly advise clients on FDI filing obligations related to foreign investments. My services particularly cover the following areas:

  • identification and risk assessment of FDI-sensitive transactions,

  • preparation and submission of FDI notifications,

  • full coordination of authority consultations and review procedures,

  • handling complex regulatory issues spanning multiple areas of law.

Consumer Protection and Commercial Law

I assist clients in ensuring compliance with consumer protection and commercial law requirements, in particular in relation to:

  • consumer protection proceedings and disputes,

  • review of general terms and conditions and commercial practices,

  • drafting and reviewing distribution and other commercial agreements,

  • handling inquiries and proceedings initiated by authorities.

State Aid and Internal Investigations

I have experience advising on state aid matters, in particular in connection with concessions and large-scale investment projects. I have also participated in several internal investigations, including:

  • investigation of suspected cartel conduct,

  • preparation of leniency applications,

  • support of compliance and risk management processes.

Environmental and Waste Management Law

I advise clients on the interpretation and fulfilment of their obligations under environmental and waste management law and represent them in related administrative proceedings.
